Giving Back
Awesome CoMo Living is the “company with a heart.” We decided a long time ago that we wanted to serve, support and comfort those in need. We wanted to have a way of “giving back” to our community. Recognizing forty-seven million people are food insecure; we provide meals to the working poor and homeless.
Awesome CoMo Living employees volunteer their time and support financially Overcomers Charities. Overcomers Charities is a Missouri-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on feeding the working poor and homeless. Their mission is to provide meals and spiritual care to help individuals overcome the challenges of life. To date, we have served and delivered over 2,700 meals. Overcomers Charities was founded by Britt Park, MMin, in December of 2022. Britt is the Executive Director and a volunteer Chaplain.
The services provided by Overcomers Charities go beyond simple meal distribution. They also offer spiritual support through their volunteers and Chaplain Britt. Britt can be seen many times in downtown Columbia providing meals to the homeless. Meals are a bridge to starting a conversation with those in need. Awesome CoMo Living and Overcomers Charities are committed to “loving thy neighbor” and recognizes their crucial role in providing support to vulnerable populations within Missouri. https://overcomerscharities.org/
